Associate Director, Forecasting – Dermatology/Respiratory

DESCRIPTION:

The Associate Director, Forecasting – Dermatology/Respiratory is the lead individual responsible for all forecasting activities, short and long term, for the US Dupixent portfolio. This person will be an integral strategic partner to the US Dupixent commercial leadership team, as key components to this role will be providing insights on how opportunities/threats may impact performance and helping guide the short- and long-term strategy of the Dupixent franchise across multiple indications and specialties.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead US Dupixent forecasting activities and bring key business insights in a proactive manner to leaders within the Commercial and Finance organizations

  • Maintain patient based forecast model, including supporting models for large investment tactics (e.g. DTC TV, Sales Force)

  • Develop objective patient/volume/revenue outlook for all forecast cycles (Budget, F1/F2, 10-year SP/LRP, etc.)

  • Provide monthly updates to Commercial and Finance leadership – actuals variance vs. forecast (integrating performance, analytics, market research, CI, etc.)

  • Provide monthly coordination with Supply Chain and Trade – near/long term outlook to help ensure appropriate resources remain available

  • Help optimize the Dupixent strategy across all indications (Atopic Dermatitis, Asthma, Nasal Polyps, Eosinophilic Esophagitis, Prurigo Nodularis, Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria, future life cycle indications) and age group line extensions

  • Collaborate with brand teams, new product planning, and business development to define and quantify the impact of market opportunities and threats across the Dupixent portfolio

  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Analytics, and Market Research to ensure information and insights are being cascaded throughout the commercial organizations and supporting functions

  • Consolidate and summarize data for ad hoc analysis, e.g. ROI analysis on new tactics and spend

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of variances to ensure data accuracy

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably within Pharmaceutical industry

  • Product forecasting experience required, preferably with patient demand models

  • Knowledge of secondary data sources (e.g. IQVIA, SP data, etc.)

  • Knowledge of US Payer/Heath Insurance environment

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Strong strategic awareness and business acumen

  • Strong proven leadership, communication, and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed environment with many cross-functional partners

  • Self-starter, proactive in nature, and actively participates

  • Ability to understand and influence decisions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master Degree or MBA preferred

  • 2+ years of Consulting Experience

  • Experience in Immunology or Specialty Care

  • Experience with analytical programming languages (e.g. SQL, SAS, Python)

  • Experience using analytical platforms (e.g. Databricks, Jupyter Notebook, SAS Studio, SQL developers, etc)

The position will report to the Director, Forecasting & Analytics – Dermatology/Respiratory at Sanofi Genzyme.
