Strategic Partnership Manager

The primary role of the Strategic Partnership Manager is to assist/complete special projects, assignments and initiatives focused on the NA CSU business needs aligned with the core partnerships. This resource will work to streamline or standardize tools and applications related to resourcing, management of financials, reporting, contracting and payments to partners. Responsibilities will be to liaison across the business and in coordination of the partnership manager, partners, finance, procurement and Cognizant (AP provider). All IPAs and process flow will be standard and processed timely to be compliant with Sanofi tools and documented accordingly.

They will partner with the business and partnership manager to lead, manage and participate in partnership meetings, workstream outputs delivering to Clinical Development Ops to align with partners to enhance current practices, measure pilots and new ways of working and to report out on tracking success, value and efficiency gains in operations.

The Strategic Partnership Manager may host and lead, follow up on actions for OMT (Operational management team meetings); attend monthly business meetings across ad hoc functions and stakeholders to enhance support coming with partners on recruiting efforts, attrition, attention to strategies to assess annually moving towards sponsor of choice/ #1 in clinical development ops.

You will work hand in hand with PSA (project support assistant) to ensure proper communication, accuracy with partners and close out of items for flexible resource providers on tracking file maintenance, access to eroom/shared documents, regular monthly reviews/report outs of financials, updated rate cards/resource titling and summaries shared monthly or quarterly output to business support functions and key stakeholders.

They will work closely with head of quality, training and systems and our partnership training teams to ensure compliance to new hires, consistent reporting of resource performance to agreed metrics and working to correct identified trending needed by specific roles. Individual can build and coordinate with key stakeholders and partners to ensure sponsor support is appropriate, changes are made with sourcing/recruiting with partners and we adapt training throughout the year as needed and support the train the trainer approach to be sponsor of choice.

Maintain partnership delivery to meet all NA CSU needs: strategy alignment, resource support or initiatives to shift, identify and track savings, efficiencies in model, costs and ways of working, align goals and objectives and help to standardize and build regular forums throughout year for business visibility and partner discussions on goals, measurements and summaries to deliver activities (model, pilots, etc).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall adequacy of conduct, data quality, compliance and adherence with partnership deliveries/services for NA CSU

  • Interface with stakeholders, project teams, partnerships and global transversal teams ad hoc

  • Develop and manage workload and objectives with partnership directors and stakeholders and project manage to deliver and complete timely with prioritization

  • Collaborate, communicate and report on ongoing actions and planned activities

  • Work with partnership director and extended teams to build consistencies, standards and simplify how we work in NA (contracts, billing, payments etc)

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelors’ degree with 4-6 years or HS diploma with 8-10 years of clinical research or pharma experience.

  • Prior demonstration of an ability to manage projects and/or strategies

  • Working knowledge of clinical study development, FDA regulations and ICH/GCP guidelines. Operational planning experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills (verbal and written), presentation, detail oriented and follow though of actions, project management and prioritization.

  • Professional demeanor with ability to interact effectively with R&D, medical affairs, scientists and managers from multiple disciplines; serves to provide internal operational expertise on assigned area and liaise across partnerships and entities.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills. Self-motivation and attention to detail.

  • Works well independently and across team environment.

  • Proficient with computer systems, or willingness to learn.

  • Financial, CRO or procurement expertise
