JOB SUMMARY:

Manage the strategic attainment of product access and appropriate reimbursement at key customers by participating in and overseeing the negotiation process of financial terms for assigned Managed Care customers.

KEY OBJECTIVES & KPI’s:

• Development of financial modeling and/or language terms and conditions to identify risk and to ensure achievement of corporate financial goals.

• Provide strategic recommendations/solutions for presentation to Pricing Committee in accordance with standard operating procedures.

• Manage the timely and accurate preparation, review, approval, and implementation of assigned contract proposals, amendments and extensions.

• Cross-functional collaboration with departments (Legal, Market Access Leads, Brand Teams, Account Management, Finance and Strategic Pricing and Contract Management) to assess contract risks and benefits.

• Partner with Contract Operations team to ensure proper system set-up.

• Contribute to the development and evaluation of systematized contract management document systems and process improvements.

• Collaborate with finance on budget and forecast activities.

• Peer review colleagues strategic recommendations

• Ad-hoc analyses and special projects as requested

Required Educational Background or Job-Related Experience :

Education: B.A. or B.S. Degree with concentration in business administration, finance, marketing is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 4 years of business experience in the pharmaceutical healthcare sector

Consulting or equivalent experience also considered Professional Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent analytical skills and some experience in writing and reviewing contracts

  • Detail oriented, exceptional organizational skills

  • Auditable accuracy in work product

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong negotiation experience

  • Excellent presentation skills

Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Access
