Sanofi Group Senior Director, Access Analytics in Bridgewater, New Jersey

R ole and Responsibilities:

Lead team of four responsible for providing insight-driven modeling and recommendations for the Pricing, Contracting, and Value & Access teams as well as developing and consolidating Gross to Net projections in support of brand financial projections, (i.e. F1, F2, Strat Plan and Budget) for the Specialty and General Medicine Business Units.

This position works closely with peers and senior leaders from Pricing, Contract Development, Account Management, Finance, Business Intelligence, Data Management, Forecasting, Horizon Scanning, Strategy and External Affairs. teams supporting the Specialty and General Medicine business units.

Typical Team Activities include:

Collaborating with matrix partners on variety of projects that facilitate strategic decision analysis, financial planning, contract/access strategy development/execution and contract negotiations.

  • Manage and/or support appropriate market access research and analytic projects to guide market access and pricing decisions

  • Leverage understanding of available data and advanced analytic techniques to analyze Customer/Channel/Market dynamics, identify key brand/access performance indicators and develop and deploy insightful dashboards and reports.

  • Develop bottoms up GTN/Contract models for in-line and new product launches based on secondary and contract data.

  • Support Gross to Net / Financial Planning cycles through collaborations with forecasting, finance and contract development to model and align GTN assumptions for inline brands and new product launches.

  • Develop portfolio assessments that evaluate impact of shifts in business/market conditions that may result from changes in customer/market landscape, public policy and/or legislation

  • Advise and lead systems and tool developments & deployments for the pricing and analytics team and where applicable the broader Market Access Shared Services group.

  • Other Ad-hoc analyses and special projects as requested.

Additional leader responsibilities include:

  • Fostering inclusion, diversity, collaboration, exploration, innovation, and speed w/ rigor,

  • Supporting development of junior staff through effective coaching and execution of Sanofi performance management process

  • Modeling Sanofi core behaviors

  • Insuring team compliance with Sanofi policies and training requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical business and market access customers and channels

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and executive presence

  • Excellent analytical skills including understanding and management of secondary and contract data

  • Working knowledge of the US healthcare system and reimbursement environment

  • Detail oriented, exceptional organizational skills and auditable accuracy in work product

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and project teams

  • Advanced ability in using common analytical and communications tool i.e. Powerpoint, Excel, Access

  • Proficiency in TM1, Cognos, forecasting applications (e.g. Forecast Pro or ForecastX) preferred

  • Ability to travel to key meetings and conventions and to meet with matrix partners in Cambridge MA or Bridgewater NJ as needed

  • Prior Management, Supervisory or analytic team leadership experience a plus

Desired Education:

  • BA or BS Degree (mathematics based preferred, (e.g. Economics, Finance, Statistics, Engineering)

  • MBA or math/analytic based MS/MA preferred

  • 10+ Years Pharmaceutical experience with emphasis in financial modeling, forecasting, business/market access analysis preferred
