Sanofi Group Rx to OTC Switch Head Flu & Adjacencies in Bridgewater, New Jersey
To lead Sanofi Consumer Healthcare (CHC) global RX to OTC Switch projects in Flu and adjacent categories.
Comprising of both the currently active projects as well as an exploration of new territories in the US, this role is a key leadership position responsible for the cross-functional switch team comprising of Business Lead, Medical, Regulatory, PV, and Category. This is a pivotal position to help Sanofi Consumer Healthcare (CHC) realize its mission to become the best consumer healthcare business in the world and be the leader in trans-formative RX-OTC switch.
Rx-to-OTC Current Switch Projects
2-3 significant switch projects in the active pipeline to fruition.
Creating a new first in class consumer health categories in the US.
Collaborate with multiple functions and partners internally and externally to ensure the project remains on track and handed over to the US commercial team with excellence.
Agency and partner briefing, identification and onboarding.
Deep consumer understanding, lead market brand purpose and positioning definition.
DFL creation with the cross-functional team.
2D/3D packaging strategy defined with strong input from local commercial teams.
Support or drive (as agreed) further projects which might be based regionally or locally in any of the identified business areas.
Exploring new technologies and tools to further enhance our switch projects.
Internal and external partners management
Representing the therapeutic area internally and externally – creating and delivering key messages as appropriate or needed during the course of switch development.
Guarantee a successful collaboration with the Switch partner sitting on the Joint Steering Committee.
New Avenues Exploration
Identify and explore new transformational switch opportunities in Sanofi’s strategic categories – as required by the business.
To succeed in this area, it will be important to stay close to the competitive environment and CHC’s own business priorities. An important element is to be able to interpret changes in the healthcare policy so this individual will have a high level of understanding of how the FDA operates.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Develops key switch talent for the future, minimum 1 direct report.
Seen as a hub/lead/point of contact for all the cross-functional teams involved in the switch.
Collaborates with almost all the functions within the business for his/her project, so leadership and collaboration are key.
15+ years in consumer marketing acquired in recognized OTC/FMCG companies.
Prior switch experience is mandatory.
Experience in both DTC and Rx business environments.
Experience in all aspects of developing and managing marketing strategies & branding, ideally with both DTC & medical detailing strategies.
Experience in advertising development, brand positioning, communication & new product concepts development.
Successful track record in developing consumer brands.
Management of cross-functional teams.
Good mastering of MS Office applications (Excel, PPT essential).
Experience managing projects independently and autonomously.
Education: Business School /Bachelors degree (ideally with a focus on Marketing).
Strategic thinking, creativity and problem-solving.
Strong analytical thinking, action planning, and organizing.
Team-leadership and team spirit, persuasiveness & influence, highly collaborative with all cross-functional partners.
Ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to changing strategies and priorities.
Excellent communicator both written and verbal, especially in groups, preparing and delivering presentations.
- English required, French or German is a plus.
