This is a postdoctoral position in the area of mechanistic PK/PD and Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP). The individual will be based in the Translational Disease Modeling group, which is part of the Data & Data Science department within Sanofi. The individual will primarily be involved in the development of QSP models, working as part of a modeling team to support drug development in rare diseases. The models will aim to quantitatively represent key biology processes of pathophysiology and drug response. The position will be based in Cambridge MA, but remote arrangements will be considered.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
• Develop multiscale QSP models in collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Identify relevant published data for model development.
• Communicate with clarity the results of modeling efforts to key stakeholders.
• Contribute to scientific publications and presentations at scientific conferences
PhD with a strong track record of productivity in the areas of systems pharmacology, computational biology, applied math, mathematical biology, chemical or biomedical engineering or related field, as manifested in publications and/or presentations.
Modeling and computational experience- Excellent scientific computing and programming skills in MATLAB, Julia, or R.
Good understanding of cell biology, physiology, and key concepts in pharmacometrics
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Desire to work within a team environment.
Strong commitment to on-the-job-training.
