Sanofi Group Patient Network Manager, Bridgewater, NJ in Bridgewater, New Jersey

This position oversees the global conduct, development, planning, implementation and oversight of the Global Patient Network. This position embodies the totality of the patient centricity arm across all aspects of clinical development (Phase 1- IV).

The Patient Network Manager (PNM) is accountable for working closely with patient advocacy, CSO Management team, Clinical Study Directors, Clinical Study Units, CSO & CS PLs, Trial Operations, Global Feasibility Leads and the therapeutic franchise stakeholders to ensure clinical trials and clinical development strategies reflect patient centric objectives.

The PNM is responsible for:

  • Developing and managing the patient network collaborations the across multi-therapeutic Phase 2- IV Sanofi development portfolio

  • Collaborate strongly with Sanofi and Genzyme patient advocacy personnel to establish one voice related to the clinical development needs and goals of the corporation

  • Proposing, developing and communicating patient centric opportunities to support clinical studies and recruitment/ retention plans

  • Support early planning activities in conjunction with the feasibility team to study and communicate the patient centric enablers for each clinical study

  • Providing seamless communication and internal awareness related to the impact of patient centric insights & outcomes based on feedback from patient groups

  • Work with patient advocacy groups to organize patient panels to support programs for protocol design and beyond

  • Explore patient advocacy opportunities to support patient recruitment activities

  • Drive patient centric clinical trial innovation and education

The Patient Network Manager will also:

  • Collaborate on the development of internal and external newsletters and articles about patient network activities, performance, successes, lessons learned, best practices, etc

  • Represent Sanofi at industry forums to highlight the efforts of the company

  • Work closely with CRO partners to ensure proper utilization and interactions with the patient networks

  • Work closely with other platform organization on ongoing training and awareness of patient centric activities

  • Collaborate with regional stakeholders on upcoming global patient centric strategies which impact clinical development programs

  • Work closely with legal and compliance groups to stay abreast of regional regulations that need to be part of consultant and MCA, pricing agreements, etc with patient network groups

  • Assist with the project management of innovation concepts being piloted

  • Lead activities such as the data analysis of trends related to patient centric activities, root cause analysis of missed targets, patient facing initiatives, etc

Major Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the patient network collaborations across the multi-therapeutic portfolio (all phases)

  • Act as a point person within the CSO to ensure patient centric goals and strategies are included in Priority indications and programs

  • Collaborate strongly with other Sanofi and Genzyme patient advocacy personnel to establish one voice related to the clinical development needs and goals of the corporation

  • Work closely with other platform organization on ongoing training and awareness of patient centric activities

  • Work closely with legal and compliance groups to maintain regionally compliant consultant and MCA, pricing agreements, etc with patient network groups

  • Liaise with the feasibility team to reflect the needs of the patient centric goals of each program

  • Assist with the project management of innovation concepts being piloted

Qualifications:

  • BS degree with minimum of 6 years’ experience within the Pharmaceutical industry with the majority of the time being spent within clinical operations.

  • Experience working in a patient facing position (medicine, nursing, etc) or advocacy organization is preferable

  • Demonstrated expert understanding of Patient Advocacy and clinical trial operations

  • Demonstrated expertise in: Team leadership that promotes collaboration, proactive portfolio planning, effective team communication, critical thinking & problem solving, team training, multi-tasking and change management

  • Proficiency in Powerpoint, Excel, & public speaking

  • The ability to implement innovations which may require significant stakeholder influence and management is essential for all individuals in this role

  • Must be able to travel up to 25% and be able to accommodate flexible working hours outside of the traditional 9-5 day.

  • Good knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, patient advocacy and healthcare systems within North America
