Sanofi Group Oncology Liaison NA CSU, Bridgewater, NJ in Bridgewater, New Jersey

The CSU Oncology Liaison (COL) is responsible for expanding NACSU’s presence in the oncology therapeutic area by developing a network of strategic sites that can support current and upcoming clinical trials. Working closely with key stakeholders (internal and external), this role will develop and maintain an oncology site network with the goal to improve operationalization of oncology protocols at the NA CSU. COL is expected to facilitate collaboration between CSU and other key oncology stakeholders such as Oncology Development, Medical Affairs, CSO Project Leaders, Investigator Network Management and oMeD.. He/she will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a network of KOLs, Investigators and key trialists in Oncology, and SMOs as applicable. This site network development will be performed in close consultation and collaboration with Oncology Development, CSU Oncology Therapeutic Lead (OTAL) and other stakeholders.

Scientific and technical Expertise:

  • Has and maintains scientific and technical expertise in oncology

  • Understands and keeps updated with the oncology treatment guidelines, standards of care and research environment

  • Critically reads and evaluates relevant medical literature with understanding of the data and status from competitive products

  • Maintains visibility within the oncology therapeutic area to maintain credibility with internal and external stakeholders

  • Is able to develop close working relationship with key Sanofi stakeholders

  • Understands the R&D Oncology Clinical trial environment, the complexity of institution start-up processes, and keeps up to date with novel approaches to speed Oncology clinical trial delivery Clinical research planning and execution:

  • Development of a network of sites that can support the evolving and diverse Sanofi Oncology landscape

  • Including KOLs and other research sites, SMOs, CROs

  • Contributes to the development of the CSU study operational strategy including Protocol feasibility, site identification ( scientific expertise , start up time and more) as well as identifying risks to successful recruitment and timelines

  • Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team in the development, creation and execution of CSU recruitment strategy

  • Ensures that all activities are targeted towards timely achievement of CSU goals

  • Interacts with opinion leaders, consultants and trialists, and CROs/SMOs as applicable.

  • Supports study visits along with CRAs, COE Liaisons and MDAs

  • Collaborates with Site Network Liaisons to identify potential centers as Oncology CoEs based on centers specific expertise

  • Working closely with internal stakeholders and utilizing competitive intelligence tools, identifies and prioritizes target sites for future clinical trials

  • Recognizes and collects feedback/reactions from multiple data sources and various stakeholders Basic Qualifications:

  • Ph. D or Pharm. D or Masters in Health Science

  • More than 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience within the field of Oncology Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong scientific background with deep understanding of Oncology Clinical Research environment and Operations

  • Knowledge of drug development preferred

  • Good networking ability in cross-cultural environment

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills across all levels of the organization

  • Ability to drive delivery of key milestones, aligning, mobilizing and motivating both internal and external teams towards common goals

  • Performance oriented with ability to work along agreed timelines and a focus on strategy and execution

  • Outstanding communicator. Excellent problem-solving, conflict-resolution, multi-tasking and decision-making skills

  • Fluent in English (verbal and written communication)
