Sanofi Group Insight Analyst in Bridgewater, New Jersey

This position will contribute to GenMeds Digital Integrated Care, Advanced analytics and Omnichannel Product Lines by providing data analysis, visualization and data integration expertise. The Data Analyst will be responsible for exploring structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, the relationships between this data and corresponding technologies’ functionality and processes, leveraging standard platforms and tools for data integration and its’ visualization. This position would need to gain a strong understanding of Commercial, Medical and Marketing data sets within Sanofi’s ecosystem, its business use and opportunities.

The Data Analyst will analyze complex sets of data and their relationships, perceiving patterns and trends. This role will work closely with GenMeds Digital product owners contributing to the product build by providing data analytics and visualization solution. This position will also help with investigation and analysis of complex data issues, gaps and will assist with identifying root-causes and resolutions.

His/her main responsibilities and accountabilities will include:

  • Understanding the data visualization needs, issues and opportunities, defining the questions to be answered to address these needs. This will require working closely with global and local business communities, product owners, to understand their questions and issues, impacted business processes and potential value

  • Exploring the data, including identifying the data in scope by translating the request from business terms to the data model technologies

  • Extracting, analyzing transforming, improving and integrating the data sets (groups of data and relationships) in scope using Sanofi’s standard

  • Combining the data result sets across multiple sources (data federation)

  • Delivering the data in a useful and appealing way to Global and local GenMeds stakeholders

  • Proactively propose, build new or fix existing data visualization solutions (reports, dashboards, etc)

  • Collaborating with other functions and teams on identifying opportunities to address business requirements or technical and data improvements

  • Following agile methodology

  • Providing input to PODs delivery documentation for data visualization and integration components

Knowledge And Skills:

  • Established ability to problem solving and analyzing complex data issues, including working with large amounts of information and see the ‘bigger picture’

  • Critical thinking with the ability to construct investigations to collect data aimed to support a pre-determined hypothesis

  • Good Knowledge and understanding of Commercial processes and data in Pharma industry

  • Ability to collaborate transversally (across organizations and functions) in a fast paced, global and matrixed environment

  • Hands-on development expertise using analytic technologies like IICS (Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services), Snowflake, etc

  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written, across varying functions and levels of management

  • Ability to work under pressure, adaptability to change, solve problems and willingness to learn to drive to meet short deadlines and shifting priorities

  • Collaborative team player with orientation towards building and maintaining effective relationships, strong multi-culture awareness

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s (University) degree in science, technology or information management.

  • 2+ years’ experience in the bio/pharmaceutical industry in analyzing and developing data visualization solutions

  • Experience with building Data Analytic solutions is a must have

  • Experience working with SQL, JavaScript, Python and/or R is a big plus

  • Experience with visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is also a big plus

  • Fluent in English
