Sanofi Group Head of GPT Office in Bridgewater, New Jersey

TheDevelopmentGlobal Project Team (GPT) Office providesleadership and team effectiveness improvement expertise to GlobalProjectTeams.We are looking for a leader to drive GlobalProject Heads(GDH) and development teams to higher performance levels through the design, delivery and implementation of performance improvement solutions that bring lasting value to globalprojectdevelopment teams.The Head of the GPT Office will report to the Global Head of Development/CMO Operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the Global DevelopmentHeadsin being great leaders and provide them with tools that they need in order to deliver on the expectations of the organization e.g. onboarding newGPHs, leadership development resources, coaching, knowledge-sharing across GPTs, etc.

  • Partner with GlobalProject Headsand Global Project Managers (GPMs) to review and improve GPT functioning and effectiveness thereby supporting teams to achieve their molecule development goals and deliverables, including delivering tothe project value chain.

  • Enhancethe R&D Governance processes (TARC, DWG, IDCC…)by leveraging best practices and implementing improvement solutions, including presentation skills, oral articulationandclarity on the expectations of the governance bodies

  • Contribute to the creation of new, innovative effectiveness service offerings by establishing and maintaining a collaborative network within Development.

  • Interface on with the Global Development Training Partner tosupport continuous trainings and learning opportunities via the GPH forum or otherforums

  • Manage a small team of coaches to aid in the assessment of the team’s performance

  • Organize a mentoring process to support exposure and support of activities as a project moves from one are in the value chain to another

  • Support the Global Head of Development Strategy andEffectiveness with proposals for resource allocation across the therapeutic areas

An experienced professional with a broad understanding of pharmaceutical product development and a proven track record of delivering leadership development and team performance solutions. This would preferably have been gained through at least 8 to 10 years within drug development and/or through specialized Pharma Management Consulting assignments.

  • Bachelors or advanced degree (BS, MBA, PhD) in science and/or business

  • Organization development and/or coaching/leadership development experience

  • Experience in working withDrugDevelopment teams and a good appreciation of enhancing team effectiveness and optimizing leadership, communication and knowledge management.

  • Strong understanding of drug development processes, including governance, preferred.

  • Experience of team performance diagnostic tools and strong facilitation skills. Optional coaching expertise.

  • Excellent group facilitation skills, communication and project managementskills.

  • Demonstrate a critical, entrepreneurial, customer-focused mindset and a passion for delivering lasting value to customers. Able to see the big picture.

  • A credible, respected and highly influential leader respected by senior Product Development Management and GDT stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills with experience of concise, impactful delivery to Senior Management, including the ability to make the complex simple.

  • Experience working with cross-functional and globally dispersed teams preferred.
