Sanofi Group Head of Digestive Health in Bridgewater, New Jersey

Head of Category - Digestive Health

Job Responsibilities

  • Member of US CHC Leadership Team to help drive company culture, strengthen values, and assist with further alignment of the US Consumer Healthcare business with the global Sanofi business model.

  • Strategic leadership for category, ensuring aligned Where to Play and How to Win choices based on deep consumer insight to drive sustainable sales growth and profitability, managing resource allocation across portfolio of brands.

  • Strong partnering with Global Category Team (based in France or Germany) and cross functional partners within the US. Requires frequent communication and collaboration

  • Partner closely with US Sales team to develop winning plans at our top retailer; represent the brands in periodic meetings with key retail customer leadership

  • Guide team to create integrated consumer connections based on consumer journey and marketing mix analysis that connects with right consumer, at right moment, through the right channel, with the right message to drive growth.

  • Management of brand architecture and caretaker of brand equity in line with Global Brand Definition (where relevant)

  • Establishment of US innovation strategy for the portfolio and each respective brand

  • Oversee P&L management, forecasting, and inventory planning

  • Lead people development directly for Category Team and indirectly across US Marketing team through talent acquisition, training and adoption of Sanofi marketing excellence approaches, performance management, and on-going career and succession planning

  • Help accelerate transition to agile, digitally savvy marketing team to meet current and future challenges

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Post-bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (e.g., Masters, MBA or equivalent), Area of specialization: MBA

  • 15+ years of experience

  • Significant experience in brand marketing, especially in OTC or FMCG

  • Leadership – skills to envision, engage, enable, and execute

  • Cooperate transversally: collaboration and influence skills up-down-across organizations and cultures/geographies

  • Act for change – embrace change and innovation and initiate new & improved ways of working.

  • Develop people – takes responsibility for oneself and others in anticipation of future business needs.
