Sanofi Group Head, NA Contracting COE in Bridgewater, New Jersey

JOB PURPOSE:

The Head of North America ensures CCoE performance in the region . He/She manages, coordinates and develops team efforts and skills. He/She is a key business partner thanks to his/her advanced knowledge and experience .

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT: Contracting Center of Excellence

SUPERVISED RESOURCES: Contract Specialists in North America

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Contracts Operations, Core Model Deployment & Continuous Improvement

  • Is accountable for the end to end contract management process (elaboration, approval, signature…) of contracts in a wide variety of contexts;

  • Ensures all open points related to contracts within North America CCoE scope are addressed by the appropriate stakeholder;

  • Masters the contracting approach to requalify a request (if needed);

  • Assists requester on any question related to contract management and is the point of contact for business partners for escalation and priority requests

  • Identifies main risks related to contract management in North America and ensures that these are properly taken into account;

  • Manages and supports appropriate technical solutions for end to end process continuous improvement (e.g.supplier assessment, financial transparency, compliance transparency, FMV and other calculators, when relevant)

  • Is accountable for the deployment of Contracting Core Model and continuous improvement of contract process, tools & templates under supervision of Head of CCoE and in collaboration with CCoE Global Process Owner and other regions heads;

  • Provides training and support to key stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of eContract and the CCoE

  • Leads group meetings between business partners across all regions to promote global utilization of eContract

  • Gives technical advices and guidances to stakeholders involved in the process;

Performance & Monitoring

  • Is responsible for CCoE performance in North America ;

  • Is accountable for monitoring contracts KPIs, identifies deviations to Core Model and defines action plan when needed;

  • Allocates resources on his/her scope based on business activities;

  • Identifies through performance metrics training requirements then develops and delivers training to Contract Specialists team;

People Management

  • Manages Contract Specialists in North America strengthening sense of belonging to the global CCoE organization;

  • Shares CCoE strategic decisions with Contract Specialists team;

  • Ensures career development of Contract Specialists team ;

  • Contributes to CCoE organization development and is responsible for its implementation in North America;

Transversal/Global Missions and Ad-hoc Projects

  • Works transversally across all business functions and coordinates with Global Compliance and Internal Audit on implementation of global initiatives including cross-jurisdictional privacy matters;

  • Represents CCoE in North America Leadership instances/bodies when relevant;

  • Participates to global projects;

  • Other tasks as designated by Head of CCoE.

JOB-HOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Minimum of Bachelor degree in a related discipline; MBA preferred

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience

  • Strong experience in people management and contract management

Core Competencies:

  • Demonstrates good knowledge of contract management tools and processes and other related activities;

  • Is able to communicate with a large audience of stakeholders (both internal and external) in a clever and skillful way especially in complex situations (sensitive message, difficult audience, unforeseen situation);

  • Is able to provide detailed planning for resource allocation, workload, prioritization, optimization;

  • Is self-motivated, well organized, hard-working, detail-minded, clear thinker, quick learner, team player, well-inclined towards change and has ability to work independently under pressure;

  • Demonstrates effective people management and leadership skills.

  • Fluent in English
