Lead global CMI activities for Sleep. Support Cross-Category CMI work.
OVERALL / STRATEGY:
Drive Sleep category growth
Contribute to influence the Global sleep strategic roadmap
Identify sources of growth
Contribute to define strategic priorities based on consumer needs & future trends
Shape category and brand strategy & execution
Become the sparring partner of the category head and Sleep global marketing team.
Raise the consumer and shopper voice within the global category team
Envision and lead the Consumer and Market Insights roadmap on Sleep
Define the CMI roadmap to influence Category Growth and brand growth, relative to the top 3 CMI impact areas 1. Strategy (insights & foresight), 2. Category & brand building (base and innovation), and 3. Go to Market (performance optimization and commercial/trade/shopper).
Ensure alignment with the strategic business objectives
Own the CMI budget allocation & priorities on Sleep
Support CMI activities on other categories (ie. switch, digestive health, pain) in collaboration and under supervision of global CMI category leads.
Drive CMI impact and excellence on #1 Sleep, and #2 cross category to drive growth
Lead deep consumer, competitive, and current/future landscape understanding. Lead the execution of global market research projects in line with strategic business objectives:
Define learning plans for the year, per key project
Deliver impactful recommendations to drive the business.
Identify and implement best in class approaches for all studies
Ensure all projects are conducted in accordance with Sanofi processes and are PV compliant
Work in partnership with country and zone CMI teams to ensure local research projects are conducted in synergy with global projects and in accordance with the Insight Target Operating Model
Integrate knowledge from Market Performance reports, econometric modelling, shopper and previous studies into recommendations and learning plans.
Conduct meta-analyses of all existing researches (local and global) as well as secondary data to build a comprehensive understanding of the category and shape strategies and execution.
Help build a Consumer Centric Sanofi CHC organization: Find ways to put all global category members in contact with consumers and shoppers regularly via various means: ethnographies, virtual chats with consumers, innovative research deliveries…
LEAD TRANSVERSAL CMI CAPABILITIES : Potentially take transversal responsibility for one global capability/methodology and corresponding supplier relationships.
BUILD A HIGH PERFORMING ORGANIZATION/RELATIONSHIPS
Be a trusted and close partner of the whole extended category team including R&D, Medical, Regulatory, T&S, BD&L teams.
Develop strong relationship and cooperation with local CMI teams and global CMI colleagues to ensure the common successful delivery of consumer and shopper winning decisions, and share & reapply.
Collaborate effectively with other functions including Procurement, Legal, Finance.
Build strong relationships with key external partners & agencies to raise the bar and ensure successful project delivery, on time and in budget.
Raise organizational capability. Train the organization as needed and pioneer new methods to step change insights & foresight.
Proven performer with 7+ years of experience working in Consumer & Market insights or related field.
International experience: working across multiple countries and OTC experience is a plus
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Additional language skills in French or German as a plus
- University degree. Masters is a plus.
