Sanofi Group Application Development Lead, Statistical Programming, Bridgewater, NJ in Bridgewater, New Jersey
In this role you will provides technical leadership, mentorship, project management skills, for the development of end to end analytic and reporting applications, used across biostatistics & programming (B&P) user community. Your hands-on technical expertise in SAS, R and other computing languages, will help you succeed in the development and deployment of innovative metadata/AI driven automated statistical reporting solutions. Reporting to the Global Lead of Analytics and Reporting Tools (ART) you will contribute to the strategic direction and prioritization of tool development, process improvements and provide regular status updates on the progress made to achieve yearly objectives. Finally, you will serve as a B&P internal expert to provide support for company wide initiatives with impact on our processes and provides support and mentoring to the junior level staff with an emphasis on technical capabilities.
Work with ART team members and B&P programmers and Statistician on the development, maintenance, and support of innovative Web and SAS Statistical Reporting applications using R and/or Python to implement metadata driven, AI assisted automation of All Statistical Reporting deliverables.
Collaborate with IT, standard governance and Quality Assurance for the deployment in production of innovative reporting applications on premise or in the cloud (when appropriate).
Define and/or improve the strategy for the implementation of the global reporting standards in the department based on our need for automation, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Mentor and encourage others on the use of department standard tools when programming clinical data or system application deliverables.
Provide user support of department tools and standards. Provide technical guidance to the project teams on all statistical programming matters involving standard tools and technologies related projects as needed.
Support department initiatives and task forces. Lead/participate in departmental or cross-functional working groups and process improvement activities.
Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions related to systems, reporting tools, technologies, and best programming practices.
Actively participate in department working groups, provide input in development of tools applicable to process improvement.
A candidate with a Master degree and 5+ years of programming experience or a Bachelor degree and 7+ years of programming experience processing clinical trial data in the pharmaceutical industry.
Excellent technical skills in statistical programming, with advanced knowledge in SAS or R.
Strong understanding of clinical trial data and the technical requirements of analysis and reporting in clinical trials.
Demonstrated experience and strength in developing, maintaining and deploying statistical analysis and reporting tools / systems.
Demonstrated experience with Computer System validation
Proven experience in the development and execution of project charter, user requirements, functional and design specifications, validation plans, development and implementation.
A candidate with an advanced degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Life Science or related field, preferred
Excellent project management skills. Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple assignments with challenging timelines.
Familiarity with relational and non-relational database such as MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB. Extra points for Graph Databases
Knowledge of CDISC standards.
Good understanding of regulatory requirements concerning electronic submission.
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical clinical development (i.e. understanding of statistical concepts, techniques and clinical trial principles).
Collaborative teamwork and interpersonal skills that demonstrate initiative and motivation. Strong problem solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a global environment.
Experience in collaboration with external partners and/or vendors.
Ability to estimate resource requirement.
