Sanofi Group Analyst, Sales & Use Tax in Bridgewater, New Jersey
Job Title: Analyst, Sales & Use Tax
Manage the sales and use tax process, which involves research taxability issues and communicating with both vendors and procurement and various sales tax matters.
Work closely with the compliance preparers and facilitate the filing of sale and use tax returns.
Work on gathering SAP data, Purchase Orders and Source documentation for various state Sales and Use tax audits.
Review differences in vendor charged tax vs system calculated tax.
Review monthly Sales tax paid vs Use Tax Accrual.
Manage continuous improvement based on monthly analysis of the sales and use tax process.
Review/provide tax exemption certificates on purchases to vendors.
Oversee and review tax exemption collection process for customers.
Perform maintenance on the indirect tax engine related to business activity changes.
Assisting with Puerto Rico Returns (Sales, Withholding, Import, Withholding, Property, 480, Workman’s Comp).
Preparing account reconciliations and journal entries for related transactions.
CPA a plus but not required
2+ years of combined tax and financial experience.
Exposure to sales and use tax environment is preferred.
Experience with SAP is required.
Experience with OneSource Tax Software is a plus.
2+ years of experience with various financial accounting systems such as SAP, purchasing and accounts payable systems.
Strong PC skills required with an emphasis on Excel, OneSource, and SAP.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with other members of the finance organization.
Self-starter, however, able to work within a team environment.
Strong communication skills are required.
