Summary : Lead the Global Brand Team as the leading body setting & owning the global brand strategy towards optimized value creation for all stakeholders.

Strategic Responsibilities:

Brand management

  • Coordinate and direct the development of a comprehensive, cross functional Global Brand Plan.

  • Align on product fit into Group Portfolio & Financial targets.

  • Lead Global Brand Team to generate evidence to support value proposition.

  • Provide guidance/collaborate for development of the market access and pricing strategy to align with value proposition & financial targets.

  • Assess opportunity for innovative services additional to the product.

  • Understand customers’ insights to develop and execute brand plan, including customer visit for deep comprehension.

Lead Global Brand Team

  • Coordinate and ensure cross-functional collaboration and alignment

  • Coordinate the development of content for an integrated offering, including support programs & services.

Lifecycle management

  • Identify opportunities to be integrated into the product/portfolio strategy

  • Identify & communicate evolving needs for product optimization/rationalization

Execution Responsibilities

Brand management

  • Coordinate and direct the development of a comprehensive, cross functional Global Brand Plan.

  • Coordinate and guarantee resource allocation for the global brand plan execution.

  • Coordinate the data generation to support value proposition

  • Develop brand identity & positioning.

  • Ensure alignment between Brand Strategy and available supply, determine Customer-level allocations in partnership with Region/Country.

Leadership and Personal Development

  • Set realistic and attainable objectives for improving job performance in specific areas with manager support.

  • Demonstrate ownership of, and execute personal development plan by proactively engaging in efforts to improve job performance, individually and for the Global Brand Team.

  • Develop, strengthen and leverage networks within Global Brand Team, Global Product Management Team, regional and priority country Marketers and other stakeholders.

  • Model company core values.

  • Ensure Marketers are effectively managed, trained and developed in their current position.

  • Establish a succession plan for Marketers and manage the performance of the personnel within the plan.

  • Assist in the Global Brand Team onboarding.

Business Planning

  • Build 3 years budget and challenge 10 years sales forecast from regions and key countries.

  • Support the development and continuous improvement of Brand Plan development process.

  • Support the development and alignment of annual business planning calendar for the Brand Plan and ensure it is aligned with StratPlan and Budget processes.

Organization & Time Management

  • Allocate time to activities in proportion to impact the accomplishment of the strategic direction, the Global Brand Plan

  • Make effective use of resources available in Sanofi Pasteur and through other sources.

  • Establish delegate tasks and projects when appropriate.

  • Manage time and projects to acceptable and improving levels of quality and quantity.

Environment / key internal and external stakeholders

  • Geographical scope of the job : International

  • Internal stakeholders: Market Access, Country ComOps Teams, Policy, Government Affairs, Medical, Epidemiology and Value & Access

  • External stakeholders: national health authorities, KOLs, HCPs

Needed experience, qualifications and competencies

Sanofi Pasteur is seeking an innovative, strong marketer, with previous experience in taking

Products to launch. This position requires typically 30% of travel.

Experience

  • Ability to influence the regional and country teams who have different cultures and different levels of marketing and market access and development core capabilities across all the regions and countries.

  • Required to have core knowledge about all commercial topics such as markets, customer segmentation, payer systems and networks, consumer behavior, marketing strategy, market research, customer development etc.

  • Ability to recognize competitive opportunities, develop the appropriate brand strategies and priorities and strategically position the product and competitive differentiation across all the regions.

  • Develop contingency plans necessary to meet changes in the business environment (e.g., regulatory changes, new competitors and interruptions in production/supply).

  • Required to have core knowledge about market access related subjects such as payer networks and MOH organizations, advertising, consumer behavior, marketing strategy, market research

  • Knowledge of the project management process, regulations and requirements

  • Ability to maintain focus on the various activities and to provide clear direction and coordination.

  • Having experienced at least 5 years in different marketing positions in the pharmaceutical industry, including field experience

  • Highly desirable: experience in Regional or Global Marketing

  • Desirable: vaccine market experience

Education

  • Scientific background and/or business education

  • MBA or specialization in marketing is preferred.

  • Track record of success.
